Visioneer Strobe XP 200 Software
Developer's Kit
The Strobe XP 200 SDK includes a COM Object which allows for direct
control of the scanner down to the low level driver. Developers
can compile the COM Object into their existing code, which allows
them to get an image into their application using the desired settings
without showing a user interface or allowing the end user to change
the scanner settings. This code can be included in the developers
custom application in place of or in addition to any existing TWAIN
support. To use this COM Object, which includes sample source code,
developers must have a strong grasp of C++ and MFC classes. The
Strobe XP 200 COM Object is not useful for those without strong
programming skills.

4 Ways to Integrate Strobe XP
200
Visioneer has made it even easier for developers and integrators
to integrate Strobe XP 200 into their end user scanning application
solutions. We have provided four different ways so depending on
your specific requirements, there is an easy way to include Strobe
XP 200 as part of your solution.
TWAIN 1.9 Support
TWAIN has become the de facto standard for scanning on personal
computers and Strobe XP 200 now supports the latest 1.9 version
with the TWAIN kit available separately. If your end user application
has support for TWAIN, this driver will seamlessly be added as part
of the scanning implementation.
For developers that want to have more control over the scanning
experience, the XP 200 TWAIN driver provides developers access to
resolution and color depth programmatically, allowing the developer
full access to the scanner characteristics as well as the user interface
that is used. Further, software developers can control the transfer
of data (native, disk file, or buffered memory modes are supported)
so developers can optimize their applications for speed, memory
footprint, or ease of integration.
ISIS ® Support
ISIS has become the preferred choice for Enterprise applications
that require production scanning speed. Available from Visioneer,
we've created an ISIS driver for the Strobe XP 200 that makes it
easy to integrate the scanner with most enterprise applications
and solutions.
Strobe XP 200 SDK
For software developers who want total control over the scanner,
we created a COM based SDK that can be integrated into your end
user application. The COM object allows C++ and Visual Basic developers
the ability to monitor the scanner for paper insertion, change scan
settings such as resolution and color depth, and fully control the
unit from paper insertion onwards.
You can review the documentation
for the SDK here.
One Touch Pro Integration
For developers and integrators who want to scan in
documents to industry standard file types (JPEG, BMP, Text) and
move them into their end user application, One Touch Pro does all
the work of setting the scanning characteristics, monitoring the
paper insertion, scanning and converting to the proper document
type, and activating the end user application.
